If you are a diehard fan of Star Wars, prepare your UK visa (and wallet) as another superfan just opened his home to the public. Imagine sleeping beside a large collection of Star Wars characters or walking into a room with life-size Stormtroopers.

Star Wars fan Dave Oldbury is an avid supporter of the sci-fi films and has amassed a large collection of posters, toys, action figures, books and more, with a value of more than £150,000. His treasures can be found in his three-bedroom home at Southampton, Hampshire, UK, where you can rent a room for £35 per night.

Oldbury said he decided to rent out his house this month via in time for the screening of the new film, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” His garage houses more than 500 action figures, while rooms are packed with memorabilia. His lightsabers may be used, provided it must be outdoors.

Oldbury shared via that he became a fan when he was eight years old after watching the movie in 1977. His first figure was Chewbacca.

“The rest quickly followed because I had to have them and then later in life, I progressed into autographs and merchandising and basically meeting the actors. But it’s my passion and I really enjoy it,” said Oldbury.

The fanatic said his favorite character is Han Solo, whom he described as a rebel and rogue (everything that he wanted to be but was not). He is looking forward to the new film, saying that it will make him feel like he is nine years old again. Oldbury also revealed that he is now collecting the new images and figures.

“I don’t know how big my collection is really going to get but it’s going to get massive,” he noted.

He traveled in different countries and states just to get autographs from Star Wars actors such as Alec Guinness. He said that guests in his home will be treated to inside scoops on the franchise’s stars he met during his trips.

And as if his collection is not enough proof of his dedication to the film, he had his body inked with tattoos of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader.

He is inviting other fans who want to see his collection and experience the joy of entering your own Star Wars world. (Although personally, he would love to have Carrie Fisher in a slave Leia outfit as a guest. But alas! That would not happen, he said.)

“It would be a privilege to share this with someone. Hopefully, it will make them happy as it makes me. We have a room that’s full of Star Wars memorabilia, so you go to bed dreaming of Star Wars and you wake up looking at Star Wars,” said Oldbury.

‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ galactic Christmas exhibit

For those who cannot go to Oldbury’s home in UK, fret not because there is a Star Wars-themed exhibit at SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City. The exhibit is located at the Atrium and Cyberzone area. Get inside a life-size X-Wing aircraft and lead a fleet in a game at the Battlefront PS4 game station.

The exhibit also features Star Wars action figures and toys. Collectors may purchase toy figures of their favorite characters at the merchandise section, while fans may take their photos at the photo walls designed with lightsabers and life-size Storm Troopers. The Star Wars galactic exhibit will run until Jan. 3, 2016.
